CORMSAA meets in Sydney

CORMSAA (Committee of Religious Institute and Ministerial PJP School Authorities) met on 09 March 2022.

Paul Ould (Victoria), Dale Morrow (Queensland), Marea Nicholson AM (Educationalist), Brigette Sipa RSJ (South Australia), Phil Billington (Educationalist & Chair), Frank Malloy (New South Wales)

ACU graciously provided a meeting room at their North Sydney campus.


CORMSAA acknowledged and prayer for the communities and schools affected by the recent floods in Queensland and Northern NSW and pledged active support which has been conveyed to all RI & MPJP communities.

Discussion Summary:

  1. CORMSAA Strategic Priorities 2022-23 and work plan for 2022 – The meeting agreed on the CORMSAA’s Strategic Priorities and a work plan for 2022. These will be presented to the AMPJP Council for approval and then shared with RI-MPJP School Authorities.
  2. Opportunities for Educationalists on Working Parties – CORMSAA will send an Expression of Interest form to the RI-MPJP School Sector via State RI-MPJP School Authority bodies with the view to developing a database of suitable and interested people for membership on NCEC or CORMSAA Working Parties. There is a preference for Working Party membership to be development opportunities to engage young educationalist.
  3. Catholic Education Context – The meeting discussed NCEC updates, Accreditation requirements and increasing governance oversight nationally and across Australian States/Territories. CORMSAA has submitted an EOI for a Workshop at the NCEC Conference in Melbourne in September.
  4. Regular Reports – CORMSAA received regular reports on CORMSAA Expenditure and Correspondence.
