Mercy Ministry Companions is seeking an Executive Officer.

This position can be located in Melbourne or Sydney

Governed by a Council of Trustee Directors, Mercy Ministry Companions has been recently established by the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea to provide the future governance of the Institute’s incorporated ministries in the areas of health and aged care, education and community services: Mercy Health Australia, Mercy Education and Mercy Community Services Australia.

Mercy Ministry Companions is now seeking to appoint an Executive Officer to support the Trustee Directors as they oversee and ensure the governance, mission alignment, formation, and property management of its ministries across Australia.

The Executive Officer will be integral in developing the organisation of Mercy Ministry Companions, and will take a proactive role in ensuring compliance with reporting requirements; developing clear and effective communications across the ministries; embedding Catholic identity and ethos within the context of governance and leadership within the ministries; and importantly, developing and maintaining strong relationships within Mercy Ministry Companions, ministry leaders, the Sisters of Mercy, and key stakeholders.

With genuine alignment to the charism and ethos of Mercy Ministry Companions, the Executive Officer will have experience and understanding of governance, reporting and compliance, and company secretarial duties, ideally gained within a mission-focussed organisation. Sound leadership capabilities together with commercial acumen will ensure success in the role.
