Governance seminar

22 August 2019 by

ACU’s Executive Education is pleased to offer a 2-day governance interactive seminar for PJP trustees, members, directors and senior executives. These seminars are also highly recommended for ministry executives of  hospitals, aged care, schools, and for those aspiring to know more about advanced governance implementation in the Catholic context.

Seminars can be tailored for in-house (single organisation) or public (two or more collaborating organisations) delivery.

This workshop is designed to assist PJP’s and their key ministries to develop or improve their governance framework, and support governors to apply governance theory into practice. Particular emphasis is placed on the:

  • distinction between ownership, oversight and management;
  • challenge of building organisational sustainability through aligning mission and governance;
  • importance and relevance of the objects and constitution and the Boards’ role;
  • integration of high level theological principles; and
  • integration of Canon Law with the governance and reporting framework, supporting those in oversight to meet both the principles outlined by the Church and their civil obligations as directors.
