Regional gatherings of MPJP Canonical Stewards

For the past two years, the AMPJP has offered Canonical Stewards from various MPJPs to meet in their capital city to meet a discuss a common issue and to network.

In 2023 the topic for discussion was the relationship between the Council of MPJP Canonical Stewards and the boards which they appoint.

The Sydney gathering on 04 May 2023 was attended by 13 people from five MPJPs. Br Paul Oakley cfc (formerly with EREA) was the guest speaker and his presentation sparked much discussion.

The Melbourne gathering on 05 May 2023 was attended by 6 people from four MPJPs. Denis Fitzgerald (formerly with Kildare Ministries) was the guest speaker. I was a late apology as I was diagnosed with COVID the day before the gathering. The participant feedback on Denis’ presentation was very positive.

The Brisbane gathering was attended by 6 people and Mercy Partners was the only MPJP represented. There were six other Canonical Stewards from three MPJPs who were initially registered but had to cancel for various reasons. Peter Pritchard (formerly with Sophia Education Ministries) provided a thought-provoking presentation.

The final gathering for 2023 will take place in Perth on 05 July 2023.
