Very Rev Peter Williams AM

The AMPJP  congratulates Very Rev Peter Williams on being awarded a Member of The Order of Australia on 26 January 2022.

It is appropriate that the Governor General has recognised his many, varied and significant contributions to the Catholic Institute of Sydney, Diocese of Parramatta, and various Liturgical bodies. The whole Catholic Church and the wider Australian society has benefited from his contribution both in and beyond these bodies.

I see that the Award citation omits his very important contribution as Member Representative of the Diocese of Parramatta to St John of God Australia Ltd. Through his involvement with St John of God Australia, he has also contributed to the recognition and growth of  Ministerial PJPs in Australia.
