World  Day for Grandparents and the Elderly

22 July 2021 by

On  25th  July 2021, the Church will celebrate the first World  Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Pope Francis  has given this day the theme, I am with you always (Mt 28:20).

“The whole Church is close to you – to us – and cares about you, loves you and does not want to leave you alone!” Pope Francis

Pope Francis message encourages older people to continue to live as missionary disciples. He points out that this vocation is life-long – although the means of spreading God’s love will change as a persons abilities and circumstances change.
