In Conversation with Michael McGirr

July 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Join us for what will be a fascinating and entertaining conversation with popular author Michael McGirr and Alice CarwardineCatholic Earthcare Coordinator Caritas Australia. Together they will discuss Michael’s new book Every Day is New:  Prayers & Reflections for Ordinary Time.

In Every Day is New, Michael invites you to put aside a little time on the weekdays during Ordinary Time to read the Gospel of the Day, to reflect on a picture of graffiti or street art, and to ponder where God might be at work, and at play, in the ordinary experiences that soak up our time. Ordinary Time refers to the 33 or 34 weeks of the year that are neither Advent, Lent nor Easter time. It includes over half the year and embraces all sorts of special days and feasts, including the Season of Creation in September.

Every Day is New is written in the belief that ‘every day is new’. God fills the present with a song, a fragrance, a whisper, a touch. We are blessed if we can appreciate God’s more subtle flavours. That is what prayer is for. Every Day is New is proof that there is nothing ‘ordinary’ about Ordinary Time and will enrich everyone who reads it.

Garratt Publishing is delighted to bring this free event to you in conjunction with Madonna Magazine.

We hope you can join us as we celebrate Michael’s new book, Every Day is New.

The event will be recorded and made available the week following the event. You must be registered to receive the link to the video.
