Living Religion: What People DO with what they BELIEVE.
The In Focus Conference is an interfaith initiative supporting teachers to enhance learning in Studies of Religion I and II. It provides opportunities to engage with specialists in SoR areas of study, to workshop ideas on what to do with what you hear and to make connections with like-minded teachers.
The Conference will resource teachers in their teaching of Studies of Religion I & II. The Conference aims to broaden teachers’ understanding and experience through interaction with speakers and academics from different faith traditions specialising in relevant fields central to the Board of Studies SOR Syllabus I and II.
The theme of the conference is: Living Religion: What People DO with what they BELIEVE. We will be running multiple targeted workshops for Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Judaism with a variety of experienced and skilled presenters.
Presenters will provide examples of lived expressions of faith. These workshops will revolve around Ethics, Practices, Religion and Peace and Religion and non-religion.
