About Mr Matt Casey:
Mr Casey is a former Detective Inspector and Head of the School of Investigation and Intelligence at the NSW Police Academy. He has an extensive background in the investigation of child abuse and sexual assault. After leaving Policing Matt worked in the community sector as a Counsellor and Restorative Practice Consultant and with others developed a mode of practice informed by the application of Affect Script Psychology to the principles and practice of Restorative Justice. He now provides ad hoc services to various church entities around safeguarding and is a member of the National Review and Appeals Panel
