Australian Cardijn Institute – Webinar: Gustavo Gutierrez: Australian connections

For our first ACI webinar of 2025, ACI welcomes Sr Angela Carroll sosj and Paul Lentern, who will remember their meetings with liberation theology pioneer and long-time YCS chaplain, Fr Gustavo Gutierrez op.
Born in Peru in 1928, Fr Gustavo died on 22 October 2024 at the age of 96.
His classic book, A Theology of Liberation, made a huge impact upon its publication in 1971 and continues to do so today.

For this webinar, we have invited several people, including Sr Angela and Paul Lentern, to share their experiences of meeting him, and their knowledge of his theological contribution.
