Cardijn’s The Young Worker Faces Life

For our final ACI webinar this year, Mark Ager and Joe Catania will recall Cardijn’s iconic lecture series, The Young Worker Faces Life, which he delivered 75 years ago in 1949.

From 1931 until 1957, Cardijn presented an annual series of lectures to Belgian YCW leaders at a summer school held in the town of Godinne.

The Young Worker Faces Life series is often considered as one of the most important of these, outlining the jocist method of leadership and lay apostolate formation.In 1961, the Melbourne YCW published a translation of these lectures, which have been popular ever since.
