One of the most striking and consistent themes in the consultation process of the Plenary Council was the call for more and better formation in faith for all the baptised. In response to this call, the Archdiocesan Centre for Catholic Formation was launched in order to engage the baptised in a deeper experience of God as understood and experienced in the Catholic tradition.
At the heart of the Centre’s offerings are four core modules entitled Catholic Foundations. Catholic Foundations is designed to draw Catholics into the fullness of the Catholic life and provide formation for those considering ministry roles. The experience will engage both the head and the heart so participants grow in knowledge and the lived experience of Catholic faith. This module includes 10 sessions supported with opportunities for individual reflection and an optional certificate awarded at completion.
Each module of our Catholic Foundations course is open to all, and you do not need to have completed other modules in order to register for Module 1.
Module 1 will introduce some key principles of the Catholic faith as we seek to understand more deeply who God is and who we are called to be in response to God.
