Environment and Economics: Everything is Connected

This is CRA’s first hybrid event with 10 speakers delivering their presentations face-to-face and online, interacting with face-to-face and online participants. There will also be group discussion and break out rooms. It is our hope that through a hybrid event, CRA will be able to expand our reach to members across the country and improve accessibility to programmes offering animation and enrichment to our members and their staff.

About the Seminar

At this time of Earth’s distress and humanitarian crises, Pope Francis calls religious institutes to take up the “urgent appeal” of Laudato Si’ to listen and respond to the cry of Earth and the cry of the poor by making it a community priority. In brief, participants will learn about:

• the intersection of theology and economics and the implications for Religious Institutes
• Goal 3 of the Laudato Si’ Action Platform: Ecological Economics
• the reasons why and how religious institutes can make economic decisions consistent with their mission and charism
• what is possible for your Religious Institute

Audience

This seminar has been prepared for Finance Managers, Religious Institute Leaders, Leadership Team Members, Integral Ecology Animators, and Justice Advocates to discuss, dream and dare to be the difference in their Religious Institute and the world.
