I joined about 500 other at the “Mission: one heart many voices 2019” (MOHMV) in mid May 2019.
MOHMV is a biennial conference organised by Catholic Religious Australia and Catholic Mission. Below is a great summary of some of the three days of insights.
From an AMPJP perspective there were a few standout moments:
- the workshop with National Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Catholic Council members and my subsequent conversation with their Chair about AMPJP’s Reconciliation journey;
- Dr Robyn Miller’s (CEO McAuley Family Services) address “Living and Leading Mission Together”;
- the Panel discussion “Supporting and protecting vulnerable and marginalised people”;
- meeting so many people who were keen to know more about the AMPJP; and
- the Directors of Mission lunch and session with Ellen Geraghty (see photo below);
- our workshop presentation 2019-05-14 Slide show Governance-Mission-Collaboration and Paper 2019-05-14 Hallinan – Governance as Mission and opportunity for collaboration v2
Copies of many of the presentations at the MOHMV conference are available online
The next Mission: One Heart Many Voices conference is scheduled for September 2021.
