Dr Jane Comensoli joins Good Samaritan Education

The Governing Council of Good Samaritan Education is very pleased to inform you of the appointment of Dr Jane Comensoli as the new Executive Director of Good Samaritan Education. Jane replaces Mrs Leonie Keaney, who tendered her resignation late last year after four years of dedicated service to Good Samaritan Education.

Currently, Jane is Head of People and Culture: Caritas Australia following recent roles as Deputy to the Executive Director Sydney Catholic Schools and Director of Human Resources Sydney Catholic Schools. She was educated at St Mary Star of the Sea, Wollongong and holds the qualifications of Masters of Theology, Notre Dame University; Doctor of Philosophy: Knowledge Management, University of Wollongong and Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Law, University of NSW. Jane is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been a Director
of several Boards.

Jane will bring to her role of Executive Director of Good Samaritan Education years of leadership and dedicated service to the mission of Catholic education; practical experience on incorporated boards and an understanding of the emerging governance models within the Church.

Jane will commence work in her role on Tuesday, 6th October 2020.

I acknowledge and thank GSE Acting Executive Director, Mrs Kathy Freeman, who has held the interim position during 2020.
