AMPJP Audited Financial Reports 2021-2022 and Annual Report 2021-2022
The Council received a presentation on the AMPJP financial reports by the Auditor. The Council also approved the AMPJP Annual Report 2021-2022.
National Response Framework, National Response Protocol and National Catholic Safeguarding Standards 2nd Ed
The Council heard that ACBC, CRA and AMPJP is progressing the National Response Framework, National Response Protocol and National Catholic Safeguarding Standards 2nd Ed.
MPJPs were encouraged to participate in the ACSL consultation on the draft Code of Safety Our Common Mission. Details of the consultation were emailed to MPJPs on Monday 08 August 2022 with the closing date being by 31 August 2022.
Plenary Council and AMPJP
The Council commended AMPJP nominee to the Plenary Council, Eva Skira AM, for her excellent representation of MPJPs and the AMPJP since her appointment to the Plenary Council in November 2020. Particular praise was given to her efforts to engage MPJP Stewards before and after the second Assembly of the Plenary Council.
The Council considered the AMPJP Executive Officer’s draft AMPJP response to the Decrees of the Plenary Council. The Council will discuss this further after the ACBC, CRA and AMPJP meeting on 21 August 2022. AMPJP Executive Officer committed to circulating the draft AMPJP response to the Decrees of the Plenary Council to MPJPs for their consideration.
ACBC-AMPJP Accord and CRA Covenant
The Council discussed the need to develop ‘action plans’ to progress the ACBC-AMPJP Accord and the CRA-AMPJP Covenant.
AMPJP Dinner and Forum 2022
Details of the AGM-Forum will be emailed to registered participants on Monday 15 August 2022. Current registrations are:
- AGM Sunday 21 Aug 2022: 65 participants from 12 MPJPs with ACBC and CRA Presidents and their ‘Executive Officers’ as well as the Archbishop of Brisbane
- Forum Monday 22 Aug 2022: 61 participants, including and 9 Executive Officers, from 12 MPJPs.
Brisbane Archdiocesan Development Fund and Melbourne Catholic Development Fund will each provide $2,000 sponsorship.
Preparation of animations on MPJPs and AMPJP
AMPJP Executive Officer showed the draft AMPJP animation. Member Representatives will vote on approving the MPJP and AMPJP animations before the AGM.
MPJP Stewards Wisdom Circle in Perth
The Council received a favourable report on the Wisdom Circle for MPJP Stewards held in Perth.
Other business
- The Council noted AMPJP Strategic Plan progress report 2021-2022 and the AMPJP policy performance and compliance report 2021-2022.
- The Council noted the CORMSAA report.
- The Council noted the AMPJP Canonical Stewards Formation Committee report.
- The Council noted reports from AMPJP Nominees to External Committees.
- The Council noted the Executive Officer’s Report.
- The Council noted the AMPJP Financial Reports and Correspondence Report
