At their February 2023 meeting, the AMPJP Council approved the AMPJP’s Safeguarding Policy:
AMPJP commitment to safety and wellbeing of children and adults at risk
The AMPJP is committed to a Church and society that recognises and advances the dignity of all people.
The AMPJP Safeguarding policy applies to AMPJP personnel and activities. Each MPJP is an autonomous Church Authority and will determine its own policy.
The Safeguarding Policy seeks to apply the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards 2nd Edition and the National Response Framework to the AMPJP’s context.
The Safeguarding Policy also necessitated a review of the AMPJP’s Code of Conduct. The revised AMPJP’s Code of Conduct uses the framework suggested by the Our Common Mission framework for codes of conduct.
The AMPJP Safeguarding policy and associated Code of Conduct are available on the AMPJP website.
