Mercy Ministry Companions
A new person has joined the Catholic Church.
The AMPJP congratulates the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea as they take another step towards establishing their Ministerial Public Juridic Person.
The Apostolic See’s Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life has accepted the ISMAPNG petition to form a MPJP which will be called, Mercy Ministry Companions.
The decree establishing Mercy Ministry Companions was dated 24 September 2021, the Feast of Our Lady of Mercy.
The ISMAPNG Leadership Team will continue their process of passing their ministries to the canonical authority of Mercy Ministry Companions. They are hoping to celebrate this historic event with a ‘live’ Liturgy of Entrusting in Sydney on 3 December 2021.
