For a Synodal Church

On 10 October 2021, Pope Francis officially commenced the journey towards the October 2023 Synod of Bishops on the theme: “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission”. This theme is explored in a preparatory document.
Australian Dioceses will celebrate the beginning of the journey to Synod on 17 October 2021. Ministerial PJPs may want to use the vademecum (handbook) to discuss and discern the applicability of the Synod’s themes in their life (communion, participation and mission).
The Sydney Archdiocese has produced this short video explaining the theme and process of the next Synod of Bishops.
